| My best friend, Mindy, and I were raving about Beverly Hills for the longest time. After moving to a new apartment for our new work as PR consultants, we finally had this golden opportunity to actually experience Beverly Hills. Just the way we wanted it, we were our own Sarah Jessica Parkers and Reese Witherspoons for the day. One or two miles away from ours, we booked in the legendary Beverly Hills Hotel. The moment we arrived, we knew, this was the vacation we were looking for. It was at 9641 Sunset Boulevard. We never realized how old world designs mesh so well with the warm sunny smiles of the staff that really gave us top of the line services. We did have to wait a bit for our room but the view of the interior was good enough while they were making our rooms available. Once we reached our room, we were so happy to see a bottle of wine and some flowers and fresh basket of fruits that more than compensated for the minutes of waiting. I love how they managed to make an entirely traditional, classic look of the room still look engaging and lovely. The place just oozes with a nice blend of historical feel and some sophisticated designs and details to make your day. Breakfast in the Fountain Room was also fantastic. Yummy treats in an awesome old Hollywood setting? Nothing could get any better than that. We also enjoyed the pools where we were served drinks like we were the only ones there. The service was just impeccable. I can run out of every adjective to describe the wondrous feeling. It was like, in just one snap of a finger, everything we desired. We were also so when we got a cabana with flat screen TV and some changing room. We also tried having dinner in their famous Polo Lounge. We spent a lot, but we sure got more than what we paid for. The food was divine as if we were some VIPs. One more thing, Lionel Richie and his family were also there, so we were really feeling the ‘celebrity’ vibe. |
